SH Paranormal Investigations (SHPI)
Our Philosophy
To date no one has proven the existence of ghosts--a fact that is at the core of what we do at SH Paranormal Investigations. Our group is open minded to possibility that there is more than what science can currently explain but seek to find a natural explanation of what is causing alleged activity before considering the unknown. We accept that our methods are experimental, and the concepts they are based on, hypotheses.
It is our hope to be able to document and validate the experiences we encounter during investigations, in order to prove survival beyond bodily death, and we look forward to contributing to the field with our research and studies on anomalous phenomena.
Investigations
Our services for investigations are gratuitous, as our reward is the personal satisfaction of documenting unexplained phenomena.
SH Paranormal Investigations, aka SHPI, primarily serves Allegany, Garrett and Washington Counties in Western Maryland, neighboring Mineral and Hampshire counties in nearby West Virginia and to the north Bedford and Somerset Counties in Pennsylvania.
SHPI conducts investigations outside this area by request. The map shown left, illustrates our typical extended coverage areas.

Education and Public Speaking
Educating the public and raising awareness of anamalous phenomena is a mainstay of our organization. SHPI routinely offers courses through Allegany College of Maryland's Continuing Education Center.
